CS144 Alternator Parts
CS144 series alternator parts. Repair your existing alternator and save money.
The most common parts for failure are the bridge rectifier; followed closely by bearings; and finally by voltage regulators due to non-resisted ignition wires.
CS144 Drive End and Slip Ring End bearings. Also includes needle bearings, rotor slip rings, and bearing retainers.
CS144 bridge rectifiers. Available in many amperage ratings and durabilities. Also includes Quicktifier Multiple Bridge Rectifier System and CS144 series dual rectifier conversion kits.
Brushes rarely go bad, but when they do all charging stops. Be sure to check your alternator brushes near 150 thousand miles.
CS144 Series capacitor, used to protect the bridge rectifier and smooth current output.
CS144 Series alternator front and rear housings. Great for a new look on your competition sound vehicle.
CS144 series alternator pulleys. Most commonly used to convert the CS144 series alternator to non-GM vehicles and applications.
CS144 Alternator Voltage Regulators. In both standard, with varying voltage set points, as well as self exciting varieties. Voltage regulators can be very sensitive to heat, electrical shorts and high energy electromagnetic fields.
CS144 series alternator rotor. The internal field coil which interacts with the stator to produce current. Shorts and bad solder often cause many of the problems associated with a failed rotor.
CS144 series alternator stator. The stator is where all of the power is actually generated. Different windings can cause different characteristics. Double or Quadruple winding stators give much better output at low speed.
